Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home which has a combined gross domestic earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and 2025 nsfas application want not post any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are learning or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public nsfas status universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and here not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
